Holloway site update and campaign meeting

Be a part of and know what is going on in your community!

The Community Plan for Holloway has two events that will mark the next stages in the campaign to ensure that the development of the Holloway site meets the needs of local communities in Islington.

We are giving lots of notice because these events represent the next important steps in our campaign.

Save the dates in your diary!

‘Community Plan Open Day – what are the next steps for the Community Plan?’

Saturday 5 October 2019 from 1pm to 4pm

St Georges Church, Crayford Road, N7 0ND

At this event there will be:

  • information stalls about different aspects of the Community Plan project and how you can get involved – including plans to launch a membership organisation so the local community can democratically control the Community Plan
  • a question and answer session about how the Community Plan will build community involvement in the Holloway site
  • we will be asking for your feedback about the Peabody consultation about the Holloway site
  • there will be speakers from the Community Plan and other campaigning organisations

If you would like a stall at this event, please e-mail plan4holloway@gmail.com – stall spaces are free. Please bring your own stalls and  display boards and mounting materials as there are only a small number of tables for use at St Georges.

The second event will be a public meeting with speakers:

‘The next steps in the Community Plan for Holloway’

Thursday 7 November  2019 – 7.15pm to 9pm

St Georges Church, N7 0ND

At this meeting we will hear from a range of key speakers about what is happening on the Holloway site and discuss and make the first decisions about how to ensure that the Community Plan for Holloway is owned and democratically controlled by the local community.

We are looking forward to seeing you at both of these events.
